It’s such a rough dichotomy between wanting to fulfill my hunger and not wanting to drink the green juice. When we go through the green juices, I want to give up, but when we go through the pineapple juices, I feel like I could do the juice cleanse for weeks on end!ġ:09pm – feeling a little hungry. The little pamphlet said there could be some detox symptoms one of which was nausea, so maybe it’s working? For your benefit, here are the other symptoms, none of which have really affected me: fatigue, headaches, constipation / diarrhea, skin eruptions, rash/ hives, cold sores, canker sores, dry mouth, nausea, insomnia, and runny nose.īottom line for the day- dreading the green juices for tomorrow, don’t feel too hungry, got a little nausea spell, I think I’m getting healthier, but no noticeable differences. Every time I stood up, even if it was just to brush my teeth or wash my face, it did come back but it wasn’t at all as bad. Can you even imagine how unpleasant that’d be?! I laid down for literally a minute or two and it got much better. I had a nausea spell where I really, really thought I was going to vomit all sorts of juices. It was a good day, but I will note…Ĭlosing out day one– After I worked out and showered, my body had a little bit of a reaction. The creaminess is definitely a nice change from the juice pace.įinished the last juice by around 10 (it’s supposed to be two hours before you sleep to let your “organs rest”). I like it, I really do like the even numbered juices, so I THINK I’ll survive. This is the image that comes to mind when I think of my organs resting.ĩ:02pm Cashew vanilla – My saving grace. Green juice after taste reminds me of Bo-yak, a Korean medicinal drink my parents used to make me drink when I was younger to gain weight and grow tall. In the scheme of things this isn’t that bad. Was about to Google “Tips on getting through a juice cleanse” but Google sent me quite a strong message.įine, I get it. At the point where I need some expert advice. Update: Still more than 30 minutes of the meeting to go, I have to pee so bad…ħ:12pm Green juice number 3. Spicy lemonade is great, but already dreading Green juice number three. It’s all about the mind games folks.Ĥ:55pm – Two hour team meeting- the main worry is making it through the meeting without having to run to the WC. It’s in a Starbucks Venti cup (because I wanted to put it over ice) but it helps me mentally think that the juice might be something sold at Starbucks and not part of a detox cleanse. Concerned that my chewing muscles will atrophy.Ģ:24pm – Didn’t give up… The second green juice is going down v e r y slowly. Update: A team member that’s not doing the cleanse is eating a pulled pork sandwich for lunch, I’m debating throwing in the towel early (in the privacy of my own head.) Will at least make it past the pineapple juice, so it doesn’t look so bad. I’ve already peed twice! I THINK I CAN DO THIS! “Pineapple juice is bomb digs.” – Jaclyn I’m glad it’s natural sugars, and that it’s giving me some energy. Nikhil says he thinks I will be the first to crack.ġ1:30am – Thank goodness for this pineapple, apple, mint juice! It’s super sweet and has a surprising sugar content (49g) – that’s more sugar than a bottle of Cream soda from Jason’s deli for anyone that’s wondering. Romaine, celery, cucumber, spinach, parsley, kale, lemon, apple. My project leader, Andrea, seems to have no fear going into this, so I’m hoping that this will be one of those pleasant surprises where you look back and think “Wow, that wasn’t that bad!”ĩ:30am – I’m starting my first juice, it’s green and tastes like parsley. So much for easing into this thing… Here we go. I’m regretting that I had a pound of beef jerky and a pound of dried mangoes yesterday. It’s the morning of the juice cleanse and I’m already regretting it. It’s largely my first reaction to the juices on day 1, and anything notable in day 2 and 3. Below are my little check-ins throughout the day. It’s a three day cleanse, with 6 juices for each day, totaling 960 calories per day. My team decided to do a juice cleanse, I thought it’d be fun and I’m all for a team mentality so I decided to do it.
